2. without sounding prejudiced, is this one of those russian car service drivers?? these guys are absolute animals!! many of them are NOT yidden and masquerade as Heimishe car service drivers. they block the streets, rip passengers off, curse in russian and english and are a menace to the communities they work in. we should hire real heimishe people, people who dontnhave jobs and would do anything to make a buck to put food on the table for shabbos.
   lets NOT wait till something more serious happens, call the “other” companies, not the ones who are “shomer shabbos” and are seen driving home after shkia after dropping off the last fare.

3. How many times have we been warned about using unfrum car services. There have been stories of abuse, beatings, rapings, molestations, and we still use them!! When will it stop? When someone lo aleninu turns up dead???

4. Why aren’t any details on this story forthcoming?
   How is the boy doing? Which car service was this driver from? What actually transpired? I find it interesting that the story is so vague. PLEASE SHARE THE DETAILS, for the benefit of the Klal.

5. The driver started screaming at the bochur as he came into the car about the traffic in boro park and everyone honking. Feeling intimidated, the bochur said that he will not go with him, and he should please let him out. The driver refused, came around to his door, dragged him out, and proceeded to pummel him. The bochur suffered some scratches and bruises but no significant long term injuries.

6. I am Bachur that was on the scene. the boy that was punched & blleding in the face, is Baruch Hashem all right, the russian driver was arrested by the NYPD with the help of the Chevrah Shomrim, & was later taken also to the hospital claiming that he was also injured by the boy fighting back.

7. To be honest folks, I am so uncomfortable with the car services in Brooklyn, that I always rent a car when I come to NY. But if I did not, I would use either a real heimishe one, or a medallioned taxi. At least they have a license to lose.

I can tell you countless “crazy” stories of all these (goyishe/russian) car service drivers. 1 driver almost killed us (yelled @ the children, raised his fist & sped like a maniac)..cuz he said he HATES chassidic jews!!!!!.. another one overcharged us by $60 & started threatening us that if we won’t pay the extra cash immediately… When we called the ‘owner’, he said “you’re probably right, but I can’t tell the drivers what to do.”

   Don’t wait till something actually happens to learn your lesson. Rather pay a few extra dollars & find a different SAFER method of transportation.
   And definitely refrain from sending children (or even adults sometimes) without another responsible adult.
   for starters, how bout trying the heimishe ones?
   P.S. many of these (Brooklyn) drivers are hispanic
