According to the United Nations, 490,000 babies are born daily around the world. As such, the international body assumes that the same number of babies were born 12 years ago, and as such, the same number will celebrate a 12th birthday next week, Wednesday, 28 Kislev 5773, marked on the Gregorian calendar as 12.12.12.
Two of the children around the world celebrating a 12th birthday on that date include Ella Bar Chai of Kibbutz N’vei Ohr and Nov Rabin of Kibbutz Nir David. They were both born on that day in Poriah Hospital in Tiveria. Their mothers, who were next to one another in the maternity ward 12 years ago met on Tuesday, 20 Kislev, a meeting set up by Yisrael HaYom, discussing how they planned to celebrate the once in 100 years birthday.
Ella will have a bat mitzvah attended by family and friends on the kibbutz. Nov says “it’s cool” but there are no special plans to mark the date. His parents however plan to buy a larger gift to mark the unique date.

I don’t understand the point of this article. The date has zero significance for a frum jew.
” the international body assumes that the same number of babies were born 12 years ago”
That’s a dumb assumption.
