Vienna: Arab Targets Orthodox Jews in Violent ‘Antisemitic’ Rampage [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

A man attacked several Orthodox Jews on Thursday morning in the heart of the Jewish district in Vienna, Austria.

The suspect puched and kicked three Jews outside a Kosher restaurant on Tabostrasse — a busy thoroughfare in a district in which many of Vienna’s Jews live and work. He then allegedly crossed the street and kicked a man wearing Tefillin standing outside a Shul.

The last victim, identified as 22-year-old Daniel S., told local media he suddenly felt a “firm kick from the back of my hip.” Daniel said he spun around to confront a man who looked at him “with real hatred”, adding “I’m glad he was not armed with a knife.”

“We were all recognizable as Jews,” Daniel said. “I wore a kippah and and I was carrying a tefillin bag. The other Jews also wore kippot.”

The suspect, identified 24-year-old Burkay S., had allegedly also kicked a 37-year-old Jewish woman walking on a nearby street.

Reports state the suspect, unemployed and of Turkish origin, was shouting in German and Arabic throughout the violent rampage.

The attacker was arrested by police at a nearby subway station.

Eyewitness Benjamin Gilkarov told theblical media that Burkay S. “seemed mentally ill, but he attacked the three men very purposefully.”

The Austrian Embassy in Israel provided the following statement: Fighting any kind of Antisemitism – being in it’s old or in its newly imported form – is a priority for the Austrian government. There is zero tolerance for Antisemitism – attacks on members of the Jewish Community will be met with the full force of the law. Austria today is a particularly safe country – we will do anything to keep it so. Jewish life in Austria must be safe and it must be able to prosper!

Austria had more than 500 anti-Semitic incidents in 2017, nearly double the total from three years earlier.

  1. If Austria would not have let all of these people in, there would not be as big a problem
And the demo0crats want to abolish ICE???

  2. “Jewish life in Austria must be safe and it must be able to prosper!” And there’s the history to prove how well the Jews prospered there.
My simple mind cannot fathom why a Jew would live there or anywhere else in Europe or the UK. You don’t want to live in Israel? Fine – that’s your חשבון between you and הקב”ה. But אם כבר move to the US! Why endanger your life and the life of your family? For what?

  3. KShomron – some people have lived there for many many years, its easier said than done to just pick up and move to a different country..In addition it is Austria and most of Europe’s fault for opening their doors wide to these Perah Adam..they literally ruined their countries and cultures (Autria, Belgium, France, UK etc..)

  4. Yidden should pack up and pack out of these mooslim infested nazi countries like Austria, Germany, England, France and all of mooslim Europe. Leave now before it’s too late. Remember the Holocaust. Don’t repeat our grandparent’s mistake.

  5. Drugcomish,
What exactly was the mistake our grandparents did?
Just to let you know that, we’re not safe anywhere in God’s world, if he wants to punish us he’ll do it wherever he so desires, be it in the US, Israel,
אם ה לא ישמור עיר שוא שקד שומר,

  6. It’s always difficult to know what the right course of action is. Only in retrospect does one know if they did the wise thing. For example, after WWII, it turned out that those who were exiled to Siberia, and other points east, largely survived. At the time, it seemed like a disaster.
Many of the European Jews feel that they cannot just pick and leave. Everything they know, everything they own, is there. They generally don’t care for the American or Israeli culture and lifestyles. It’s easy for us to make these sort of blanket statements!
