Lewis “Scooter” Libby who was the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, has been disbarred. In an order released by the D.C. Court of Appeals, a three-judge panel stripped Libby of his ability to practice law after he was found guilty last year of obstructing the investigation in the CIA leak investigation.

Last July, a court sentenced Libby to a 30-month prison term – which President Bush later commuted the sentence (but did not pardon him) calling it “excessive.”
