President Shimon Peres on Thursday will wrap up a four-day state visit to Poland, culminating with an address before the Polish parliament, in Hebrew.

Peres took part in a memorial service in Treblinka and a ceremony marking 65 years since the Warsaw Ghetto uprising. He made numerous emotional statements during his visit, standing on soil tainted permanently with the blood of millions of Jews.

The president stated Israel will never permit another Holocaust, adding he believes if the fine youth and military personnel who make up the country today were present then, perhaps the Holocaust would not have occurred.
