An accident involving a motorcycle and a car left the motorcyclist dead, Thursday afternoon.

It happened at around 4:50PM, in front of 762 Sackett Lake Road, just near Birchwood Estates. MobilMedics and the Monticello Fire Department responded to the scene, and found the victim with injuries so critical, that they pronounced him dead on the scene.

A coroner was requested to the scene, and an investigation is underway by the Sullivan County Sheriff Department.

Sackett Lake Road will be closed for the investigation.
