Lakewood: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Abduction Attempt of 2 Teenage Girls


lpdThe man suspected of attempting to lure two teenage girls in Lakewood into his vehicle this morning, was arrested and charged by authorities, TLS reports.

In an exclusive video message, Police Chief Rob Lawson tells TLS that the suspect attempted to lure two girls at two different locations, but the girls ran off. One incident occurred on 14th Street, and the other on Kimberly Drive. One of the girls was 14 and the other 15 years old.

A short time later, Officer Rob Meyer spotted the suspect’s vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop.

Nicholas Ravaioli, 29, of Jackson Township, was arrested and brought to Police Headquarters.

At Lakewood headquarters, Det. Lindsay Woodfield of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and Det. Steven Wexler of the Lakewood Police Department arrested Nicholas Ravaioli after interviewing the victims and charged him with Luring and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office confirms.

Ocean County Superior Court Judge Wendel Daniels set bail at $300,000.00 no 10% and Ravaioli was lodged in Ocean County Jail. Nicole’s Law was implemented assuring Ravaioli has no contact with the victims.

There is the potential for additional victims in this case. The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office and the Lakewood Police Department are encouraging any other victims to contact either the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit at 732-929-2027 or the Lakewood Police Department at 732-363-0200.

  1. And that he is a goy!!!! Would they have been so quick to call the police if he was a religious Jew? The same children would be at risk of being abducted and/or violated no matter if he is a goy, a secular Jew or a religious Jew. That is the entire point. The safety and welfare of the children should be our only concern.
