According to Rav Zafrani, Rav Mordechai Eliyahu’s personal assistant, the Rav on Wednesday morning is showing signs of improvement, already communicating through written messages. 

Rav Zafrani explained that Rav Mordechai Shlita is asking questions regarding davening Shacris and Mincha, as well as counting the omer, signaling that his mental capacity is well intact Baruch Hashem.

Rav Zafrani added that there are many SMS text messages circulating, with a large number of them being unreliable. At present, the Rav’s family is remaining with him and Tehillim are being recited on his behalf. The family is working to set up an information number that will permit people to phone for accurate timely information of his condition to eliminate the text messages which are in a large part unreliable and inaccurate.
