6. Soldiers are usually young adults. Old people talk about war, children fight them. They just won a war that began when they were children, or perhaps began before they were born, and managed to defeat a country that was the world’s leading superpower. Their cause may be evil, but they are acting as one would expect young people to act in a moment of triumph. They now join a select list (with Vietnam and the Seminole Indians, and no others) who have defeated the United States in war.

   Mocking someone who just beat your pants off shows poor character. If you want to mock someone, mock Joe Biden and his WOKE comrades who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, and green lighted all the would-be tyrants of the world.

7. The Vietnamese did not defeat the USA. The US armed forces won a huge military victory in Vietnam. They beat the communists and forced them into a peace treaty. Then they left, having trained the South Vietnamese army and promised that if the communists attacked again the US would not fight for them, but would give them air support and resupply them, just as it would South Korea.

   Then when it happened, when the communists attacked with a larger army than Hitler’s, the Democrat Party in congress refused to honor the USA’s commitment; it deliberately voted to refuse to resupply South Vietnam, or to give it air cover, knowing and intending that by this they were murdering our ally and condemning millions of people to slavery and tyranny.

   It was one of the most shameful episodes in US history. Far more shameful than any of the things the left tells us to be ashamed of. But it was a failure of the politicians, NOT of the armed forces.

9. Milhouse : When the elected leaders of the country surrender, even if due to stupidity or prejudice, that means the country was defeated. It makes no difference whether that decision was or was not justified. We surrendered, therefore, we lost, and by definition, the other side won.
