Biden Releases Statement On Supreme Court Draft – Totally Ignores Unprecedented Breach With Leak

President Joe Biden said Tuesday that the “basic fairness and the stability of our law demand” that the U.S. Supreme Court not overturn the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade case that legalized abortion nationwide and said he would work to codify the right to abortion into federal law.

In a statement released a day after Politico released a draft opinion that suggested that the high court could be poised to overturn the ruling, Biden said he couldn’t speak to the authenticity of the draft and said his administration is preparing for all eventualities for when the court ultimate rules.

Biden said a decision overturning Roe would raise the stakes for voters in November’s heated midterm elections.

“If the Court does overturn Roe, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman’s right to choose,” Biden said. “And it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November. At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law.”

  1. Biden, and anyone that supports him on this, takes corruption to new heights. It is not the position of the executive branch of government to tell the judicial what to do. This is not about politics. It is about the greatest judicial minds and experts determining the interpretation of the Constitution and the law. The dems are free to write new law, and it will achieve that status if passed by Congress.

The abortion issue was a subject of hot contest when Ronald Reagan was campaigning for president. Somew smnart aleck reporter challenged him about women’s rights to choose for their own bodies. He responded that he was all in favor of women’s choice, but this affected another human being. The child was being eliminated, and not by his/her choice.

Let the court do its job. And let Congress to its job. One may choose to rejoice or mourn the outcomes.

  2. You sleepy joe get on with your own work [lower crime & Corona & inflation] and let the Supreme Court get on with their own work.
There are 3 branches to USA 🇺🇸 government, and you sleepy joe take care of your own branch.
BTW I am way more concerned about innocent embryos’ right to life, than guilty women’s right to murder

  3. Given that Biden’s economic and foreign policy seems not to be going all to well, he is reasonably hopeful the upcoming election will focus on something else. That seems reasonable. He acknowledged the “draft” might have been a fake, and then made a campaign statement he is anxious to make.

  4. ‘Protect a woman’s fundamental right to choose’ – who said there is such a right? Is there a right to murder another human being just because they are still inside the womb? Complete hypocrites! When the legal system back them, it’s fine. When democracy works in their favour, it’s fine. When they don’t, they want to overturn it. Hashem yeracheim!

ALBANY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the Reproductive Health Act into law just minutes after the Assembly passed it on Tuesday evening.

Calling it a “bittersweet” moment, Cuomo and others framed it as an act of defiance against the Trump administration and conservatives in Washington D.C.
Today we changed that,” said Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D-Yonkers). “Today we’re reaffirming that women have a voice and women have a choice.”

  6. The Dems lost the “bodily autonomy” argument as soon they mandated these covid jabs. They showed they have no regard for “my body, my choice”.
