NO SURPRISE: Mainstream Media Outlets Ignore Attempted Assassination of Brett Kavanaugh

Senate Democrats are raising new concerns about the thoroughness of the FBI's background investigation into Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh after the FBI revealed that it had received thousands of tips and had provided “all relevant” ones to the White House counsel's office. Remember when ABC, CBS, NBC, and CNN all ran segments decrying the attempted assassination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh by a radical leftist? You don’t, because they never did. In fact, they’ve all but ignored the incident.

The incident itself was terrifying: a man dressed in black clothing was spotted by U.S. Marshals exiting a taxi in front of Kavanaugh’s home with a backpack and suitcase. The suspect, identified as Nicholas John Roske, of California, then called 911 and said he planned to kill Kavanaugh and then himself.

Why? Because Roske was upset over the leaked draft opinion showing that the Supreme Court had ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Roske was arrested and found with several lethal items, including a Glock 17, a tactical knife, a pistol with two magazines and ammunition, pepper spray, zip ties, and a black tactical chest rig.

But instead of reporting the facts as they happened, mainstream media outlets downplayed it, suggesting that both sides of abortion debate engaged in violent rhetoric. Rather than focus on the attempted assassination of Kavanaugh, they chose to cover the Jan. 6 hearings.

It isn’t much of a surprise that they declined to cover it in depth. They did the same when a radical leftist man opened fire on a group of Republican lawmakers playing baseball – nearly killing them. That story was all but buried, so why wouldn’t this one be, as well?

  1. Not sure what this article is talking about. It was given extensive coverage on the WashPost/NYT on the day after the arrest (since the arrest was in the early AM, too late for same day paper editions) and same day coverage on the electronic versions. All the evening news shows mentioned it last week.

  2. I heard the story of the attempt on Kavanaugh’s life on WCBS radio on 2 different days. I don’t know about other media but I assume the story was carried as it was newsworthy. It’s the role of the news media to report facts not opinions although nobody would think that Roske’s actions weren’t wrong.

  3. Pashut. Because it doesn’t fit the narrative. The incitement by Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, & Maxine Waters, to go physically harm Republican WHITE males, was totally buried by the DNC controlled media as well. It’s only Jan 6th Jan 6th Jan 6th. Trump killed more people on Jan 6th than the combined massacres of Buffalo and Uvalde. This is the Ron Klain strategy for the democrats to retain their lead in both Houses of Congress.
    Red tsunami coming.

  4. First let’s deal with the treasonous insurrection that threatened our country’s stability: in fact let’s put all our lawmakers to work on that NOW. Leave the country alone for now. Death threats to Supreme Court justices has no importance NOW. Now we need to deal with the worst threat to our democracy. Leave crime for now, leave gas prices for now, leave inflation for now. Leave the stock market crash of earlier today. Leave all these stupid insignificant issues and deal with the worst crisis ever: January 6th!

  5. I first heard about this the day after it happened on NBC Nightly News.
So I think that the only truth being downplayed here is by Yeshiva World News.
    Shecker on stilts.

  6. The facts were widely reported by all news outlets, but there was no “attempted assassination”, a threat at best. It is horrible, but that’s the fact.
