Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg admitted on Thursday that his platforms, Facebook and Instagram – suppressed the Hunter Biden laptop story in the weeks before the 2020 election at the behest of FBI officials, noting that “it sucks” that the story wound up being 100% real.
“The background here is the FBI basically came to us — some of the folks on our team —and said, ‘Hey, just so you know, you should be on high alert: We thought there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election, we have it on notice that basically there’s about to be some kind of dump that’s similar to that, so just be vigilant,” Zuckerberg told popular podcaster Joe Rogan.
The Zuck pointed out that Twitter fully blocked the story, whereas his platforms only suppressed them from being spread widely.
“For the five or seven days when it was basically being determined whether it was false, the distribution on Facebook was decreased,” he said.
Pressed by Rogan for information on how much it was suppressed, Zuckerberg said “just a little bit less.”
“Fewer people saw it than would have otherwise,” he said. “but, it’s meaningful.”
“We thought, hey look, if the FBI — which I still view as a legitimate institution in this country; it’s very professional law enforcement — if they come to us and tell us we need to be on guard about something, then I want to take that seriously.”

To my knowledge nobody suspects Joe had anything to do with this, so why would you want to slander someone’s reputation or not elect someone because their child is corrupt or broken, or an addict.

I’d prefer a statement from the FBI rather than a CEO and talk show host. No doubt that it wouldn’t be unusual for law enforcement to warn of potentially false information in various situations.

Deceptive (or better yet simply false) headline. The FBI said to be on the lookout for misinformation IN GENERAL, and Facebook on their own suspected that it would apply to this story.

This is the same FBI that used a phony Steele dossier to unscrupulously get a FISA warrant to surveil Trump in order to undermine his campaign and his Presidency, now being caught suppressing possible criminality when it comes to Biden’s candidacy. It has been 2 years already and they are still burying it before the 2022 elections. And let’s not forget how they covered for Hillary’s criminal behavior during her campaign. So yes, the FBI and DOJ do have a credibility problem.

Mark seems to be saying it, but with a caveat that he does not remember correctly and also can’t tell how much distribution was reduced. Surely, he can check at home and post it somewhere, maybe on Facebook?!
ER, what on earth could you possibly be on about? It is perfectly obvious that nobody has ever bribed Hunter Biden. Nobody would ever want to. What could they gain by bribing him? It’s obvious that the bribes were not for him but for his father. Hunter was merely the bagman. What he was selling was his father’s influence.
That’s what Burisma paid him more than $80,000 a month for, and, what a surprise, when they needed the father’s help they got it! He got the prosecutor who was investigating them fired, because that’s what they paid him to do.
As Hunter told his daughter (also on the laptop), Joe takes half his earnings.
