Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin issued a stark warning to Iran, stating that continued attacks on the US military in the region would lead to a US response.
The hearing centered around President Joe Biden’s request for $105 billion in supplemental aid aimed at Israel, Ukraine, and other significant national security matters.
The topic of Iranian aggression was brought to the fore by Republican Senator Susan Collins, who is also the Committee Vice Chair. She cited a New York Times article from the past weekend which detailed how “Iranian-backed terrorists continue to attack U.S. forces in the region.”
In response, Austin was unequivocal, stating, “if this doesn’t stop, then we will respond.” He further emphasized the paramount importance of the safety of US troops and civilians, both to him and to the president. Austin mentioned the deployment of additional assets to the region to strengthen the force protection posture. He reiterated the US’s right and capability to respond, stressing that any potential action would occur at a time and place of America’s choosing.

As soon as israel has reasonably defensive positions it should let the ceasefire happen and in the meantime refit its armor to withstand ied’s and pg-7vr heat tandem warheads
I saw iraq tanks putting an extra slate of steel plate portruding externallly it adds weight but maybe it works , it worked against isis in mosul i think ,

Maybe the whole idea of armor in a dense urban environment is obsolete in light of auto robots that can engage the enemy from a safe distance.
Israels strategy to me seems really played out and dumb. The same old thing airstrikes-> ground invasion led by armor with combined warfare, air , artillery navy etc , but tanks seem like they arnet invincible and are highly exposed.
Whatever tunnel radar israel has is not very good so israel must really methodically handle that front of the gaza battle too.
Theres so many ways for the soldiers to get hurt may god keep them safe and return them home successful
