President Bush Casts Vote For John McCain

bush vote.jpgPresident George W. Bush fills out his ballot for the 2008 election during the early voting process from his Oval Office desk at the White House Friday, Oct. 24, 2008. Ballots cast by both the President and Mrs. Laura Bush will be mailed back to Texas today.

According to an Associated Press report, the Presidents vote was for Republican presidential nominee John McCain.

The president and first lady have traveled to Texas to vote in past elections. The pair plans to be at the White House on election night this year, according to AP.

An interesting side note: In an effort to draw attention to the vote, the campaign of Barack Obama, which has repeatedly tied McCain to the unpopular Mr. Bush, emailed the AP report about the vote around to campaign reporters.

  1. Heh… Bush must really hate McCain. That is one of the worst things he could do for the campaign after they’ve been trying so hard to prove McCain isn’t Bush.

  2. Perhaps the idea of his taxes not being raised played to the President’s ear better than having taxes raised if you are rich & make over 42K a year??
