Many local stores are now selling clothing made in Turkey, which has a higher likelihood of containing shatnez.
A new men’s suit brand, “Daniel Tissu,” sold in Boro Park and Flatbush, was found to contain linen armhole tapes, which are very difficult to remove.
Consumers are urged to have wool garments checked at a certified shatnez laboratory before wearing.
