A shocking stabbing attack shook Golders Green in London on Wednesday afternoon when a knife-wielding assailant ran along the main street, attempting to stab visibly Jewish pedestrians.
The attacker reportedly lay in wait near a local shul and then lunged at two passing Jewish men. Both victims – ages 76 and 34 – sustained stab wounds and received urgent medical treatment at the scene from Hatzalah volunteers. According to the latest update, one of the victims is in serious condition, while the other is reported to be stable.
A far more serious disaster was averted thanks to the swift and courageous response of Shomrim volunteers. After spotting the terrorist running with a knife, the volunteers rushed him without hesitation and managed to subdue him on the ground, risking their own lives.
According to reports, the volunteers held the suspect until police arrived and arrested him using a taser. The attacker reportedly suffered a heart attack following the taser intervention.
Scotland Yard put out a statement about the attack, saying: “A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men, one in his 70s and one in his 30s, were stabbed. The suspect also attempted to stab police officers before being Tasered and arrested.” A spokesman later added that the attack has been “formally declared a terrorist incident” and that British counterterrorism police are now leading the investigation.
The incident comes amid a broader pattern of attacks targeting Jewish communities across the United Kingdom, particularly in London. In recent months, there has been a surge in antisemitic incidents, including physical assaults, vandalism, and arson attacks.
Just weeks ago, four Hatzola ambulances were destroyed in an arson attack in Golders Green.

Just a bit of context here regarding this terrorist attack:
Firstly, reportedly the two people who were stabbed were father and son, one in his 50’s the son in his 20’s (reportedly built on local witnesses).
There was also more than one suspects not just the terrorist that was caught, as we speak, right now (4:05pm) there are multiple helicopters sweeping the area, looking for another potential suspect.
The man suffered a cardiac arrest, for which he recieved CPR from hatzola and the others on the scene (yes the terrorist was treated as there is a very clear interest to keep him alive to properly investigate this attack).
Supposedly, I’m not 100%, but reports by witnesses said that the attack happened outside Hagers shul, but the guy was spotted outside Slice Pizza and at the edge of Golders Green Road at the lights/junction with the North Circular (you can search these places on google maps).
As well, one of the victims was stabbed literally a millimetre away from his heart, and the other in his face.
I just saw the still image from CCTV here on YWN and (for those familiar with the area) you can clearly see the location to be the bus stop outside Reichs (caterers/restaurant) which is just next to Slice pizza, but the other video released seems to be of him running down Highfield ave, the road of Hagers Shul, so presumably he started there and then made his way down and out towards the north circular…

@147 the argument to save a terrorists life in Chutz La’aretz is that they can be interrogated for information that may save lives by preventing future attacks. In Israel any loner can partake in terror without any assistance from any organization so they’re better dead than being fodder for a future prisoner swap. You can’t apply R’ Chaim’s (brilliant) teshuva to Chutz La’aretz.
@mordy180 the UK has some of the strictest weapon carrying rules in the EU/world. Pepper spray is illegal. Tasers and stun guns are illegal. Carrying knifes is illegal. Personally I’m very happy about that. Thank G-d for our even stricter gun laws. I’m happy not to have access to any of it if it means criminals can’t access either.

englishjew5774, if you’re happy about your country’s tyrannical laws then you’re an idiot, and you deserve to be attacked. First of all, very obviously criminals ignore laws. Only potential victims keep the laws. So laws disarming victims have no effect on criminals. Second, even if you could somehow disarm everyone you’re helping the criminals. They naturally have the upper hand over their victims, since they have the advantage of choosing their victims and the time and place of their attack, so the victims need every advantage to even the score. That’s why “G-d made men, but Sam Colt made them equal”. Thank G-d for the USA where our fundamental human rights are protected, including the right to the means of self-defense.
