A man identifying himself as “Chaim Abuhatzeira” has been traveling throughout the New York and New Jersey area claiming to be a mekubal, prompting growing concern within the Orthodox Jewish community.

According to Boro Park social media personality Yonoson Schwartz, the individual is not using his real name and has allegedly refused repeated requests to provide documentation confirming his identity.

YWN has spoken with multiple individuals who claim they were victimized by the man. Several people have raised serious allegations regarding his conduct, including claims that he has exploited numerous vulnerable women. These allegations have not been independently verified, and no criminal findings have been established by YWN.

In addition, multiple individuals alleged that the man has become aggressive or violent when confronted.

Despite these concerns, the individual has reportedly been welcomed in some communities and has even met with respected rabbanim who were unaware of the allegations surrounding him.

Community members are urged to exercise extreme caution, thoroughly verify the credentials of anyone claiming to possess extraordinary spiritual powers or seeking private meetings, and immediately contact law enforcement if they believe they have been the victim of any criminal conduct.
