GOP Website Aims To Fire Pelosi

In response to their failure to stop health care reform from passing last night, the Republicans have set their sights on a new goal: Nancy Pelosi’s job as Speaker of the House.

The GOP’s official Web site has been replaced by firenancypelosi.com, boasting a goal to knock the Democratic leader from her post by winning 40 seats in the House of Representatives in November’s elections.

“It is time to fire Nancy Pelosi and send a message to President Obama that it’s time to stop their partisan liberal agenda of government takeovers and start working for Americans to create jobs and grow our economy,” RNC Chairman Michael Steele said in a statement late last night.

The site initially aimed to raise $402,010 in 40 hours, but that amount increased as it passed that goal less than halfway through its fundraising efforts. As of this posting, the total had reached $613,416.

Donators are invited to give as little as $40, but as much as $400.

This is not the first time Pelosi has been targeted by the GOP. Last year, the National Republican Congressional Committee spearheaded a Fire Nancy Pelosi petition using mobile phones. The goal was to obtain signatures, but also raise money.

  1. Hey Nancy, you have been part of the largest corruption of the US Constitution. Even if those leftist wakkos in San Fran re-elect you in November, there will NOT be a democrat party majority. In english, that means you & your rule is over.

Don’t let the door hit ya where the Good L-rd split ya!!

  2. Guess what? The republican leadership (or lack thereof) should be fired. After the Brown victory, momentum was on their side big time, they should have advertised hard in those democratic swing vote districts, to pressure their reps not to vote. They blew it, as long as the GOP can not put up a recognized leader the slaughter will continue.

  3. I agree that the Republicans are not much good.
But for once they have finally done the right thing in voting against this health scam, bill.

To fire them now would be punishing them for finally acting like the conservatives they should have been, for the last 50 years.
