Bnei Brak: Manhunt Underway For Person Cutting Off Pony-Tail’s

zaka hair.jpg(Click on image to ENLARGE it) Zaka volunteers have announced a manhunt in Bnei Brak today, as they search for a Charedi youth, believed to be 13, who allegedly cut off the hair of at least seven young girls, ages 8-12.

According to witness accounts, the boy seems to carry a pair of scissors with him. Upon encountering a girl whose hair is in a ponytail – and after making sure the coast is clear – he grabs her head, cuts off her hair and runs away.

The girls’ families, and other fearing their daughters’ safety, called on Zaka to find the youngster, who was photographed in the act Thursday afternoon.

“So far, we know of seven cases,” Motti Boskin of Zaka said. “We have volunteers tracking him down, and hopefully we’ll find him soon… this isn’t our normal line of work, but given the sensitive nature of the case, we’re more than happy to help.”

  1. Gevalt!! This is loshon Hora! how can you put this young bochur’s face on the internet for all to see? he needs to work harder in his learning, not be shamed by loshon hara!

Editors Note: Lashon Hara? The person in the picture is a ZAKA volunteer!

  2. zalmy,
I would imagine that that is the Zaka volunteer. I don’t think the boy stopped next to a Zaka van to pose for a picture.

  3. Even if this was the boy’s picture, why is it Lashon Hara?

What he is doing is dangerous and he needs to be stopped and get help.

Putting his picture around is a good thiing.

  4. It is not loshon hora if he ‘s a public menace and must be stopped and people must be warned to stay away from him. The details of his problems are loshon hora, but he MUST be stopped ASAP!

  5. for this you all scream lashon hora? and when various rabbonim or other personalities with whom you disagree are discussed, this board is filled with shameful lies and accusations

    shame

  6. telegrok…and you are guilty of ‘moitzie shem rah’ by slandering the ‘eidah hakdoisheh’ on this board. 🙂

  7. It looks like the boy who did it is the one in the picture. At least thats what i thought. YW, good job on clearing that up.

  8. The girls must all be quite traumitized! I respect Zaka for routing round their regular work and trying to catch this public menace…and by the way have you ever seen such a mature-looking (with a beard as well) 13 year old????????

  9. YW Editor, it looks to me like if you would move your logo from the face of the photo, underneath it looks like a Zaka logo on his T-Shirt.
That may clear things up a bit.

  10. Dear jdspero,

Not everyone can, and is meant to always be in BM, obviously these voluntears chose to do chesed instead of waisting time…………your not forced to give them the recognition thet deserve but please don’t insult them…..

  11. The text referring to the picture is very unclear and lead to the Lashon Hara questions and people thinking that the gentleman pictured is the 13 year old boy.

Instead of writing that “he” is pictured, you should write that “A Zaka volunteer is pictured holding a pony tails that came from one of the victims”.
