NYPD (61st Pct) responded to a break-in where approximately $4,000 in cash and checks was stolen from the Jewish Center of Nachlath Zion, 2201 East 23rd Street. A Shul spokesman said that the thieves entered the building by forcing open a basement window. Pry marks made by a crowbar or other tool were found on the windowsill, officials said.
