Central District police are seeking suspects in a robbery during which Hod Hasharon jewelry store owner Yehuda Weiselberg, 42, was shot and killed.

An initial investigation into the crime indicates that Weiselberg, a father of three, was opening the store on Ramatayim St. � which is located only meters from the family�s home � when he encountered two masked robbers. He pursued them, and they shot, seriously wounding him.

Hod Hasharon Mayor Hai Adiv, visiting the crime scene, said that the Weiselbergs were a family with deep roots, third generation in Israel, and called Yehuda �the salt of the earth.� He adding that the municipality would soon be setting up 300 security cameras throughout the city.
