Attention Parents Of Camp Achim

The campers at Camp Achim ended today and went home, but due to the heavy storms and flooding upstate New York, there is no phone service in the area of the camp which is located in Leeds, NY. Added to that problem of not being able to reach the camp, is the fact that there are massive delays on the roads due to flooding following the Hurricane. YWN has been asked to publish the following information regarding the bus schedule:

(Please note that YWN has absolutely no further information, and has no way of reaching the camp)

Lkwd bus-4:30

Lkwd van 6:00
Monsey-2:30

Appollo 2:45
Brooklyn 5:30
Far Rock 6:30

  1. Oh, I see. A camp that Chas V’Shalom would never use the Internet, and never have a website, is turning to the internet to alert parents.

  2. Even if you don’t use Internet, Each camp, travel group etc should have a spare cell phone (cost $25 for 3 months) and put a message on it. Then shut it off and anyone dialing the # will get the message. When the message needs to be updated, use the 300 minutes to update it.
