Homefront Command Drill: Leak At Dimona Nuke Plant

The IDF Homefront Command on Tuesday (Sept. 6th) will hold a training exercise simulating a leak in the Dimona nuclear facility. The event will take place between 07:00 – 21:00.

As a result, emergency vehicles will be seen operating in the E. Negev area, including the IDF, police, MDA, local first-response units and other volunteer emergency organizations.

The last drill at the location was in 2004, and following the disaster in Japan, it appears officials decided such a move would be a wise one.

  1. A well publicized drill involving a secret nuclear facility that Israel insists doesn’t exist????

Something sound a bit funny? Someone getting their leg pulled.

Given that Israel’s nuclear weapons and capacity are a secret, the liklihood is that they have nothing to do with Dimona.
