After a five-hour session which concluded during the early morning hours, the National Labor Court recessed to deliberate the request to issue an injunction preventing the Histadrut National Labor Federation�s nationwide strike.

The court a short time ago announced it was intervening and would only permit the nationwide strike until 10:00am. The strike got underway at 6:00am.

The two sides will have to reappear in the court on Thursday to report on progress made in negotiations, at which time the court will reevaluate the labor union�s strike demands if they are still applicable.
