Former Chief of Staff Ya’alon Says Attack Against Iran is Doable

In his address to the Herzliya Conference on Thursday, Vice Premier and a former IDF chief of staff, Moshe Ya’alon explained that the explosion which occurred in an Iranian missile facility in November 2011 hit a facility working on a long-range missile, one with a range of 10,000 kilometers (6,000 miles), which also places the United States in attack range.

Taking part in a panel discussion for and against an attack against Iran’s nuclear program, Ya’alon stated that “a military strike against Iran is doable”, pointing out that “mortals protect every facility and mortals can penetrate them. A military strike against each facility is possible. I know from personal experience”.
