The new men’s mikve in the 770 Building in the Chabad neighborhood of Ramat Shlomo in Yerushalayim is completed after two years. It is being billed as possibly the nicest men’s mikve in the country, and those who have seen it agree.
The mikve oversees the mountains in the area and the mikve is large, at least on Israeli standards, encompassing 300 square meters. The mikve and changing areas can accommodate 150 people at one time, and the mikve of course is in compliance with the directives of the Alter Rebbe ZY”A, ‘bor al gabei bor’. The mikve is said to be state-of-the-art, operated by computers and advanced electronics.

I wish it was finished when I was still learning at the yeshiva next door! It used to be the nastiest mikve around!
Niiiiiiiice hiddur mitzvoh!
nice
i want to bring a point to bear
in a mikvah you have 2 boros. one you dip in, and one of the mitzvah 40 seah contained – backup i beileve. the cistertn.
the waters need to be connected constantly to empower the mikvahs kashurs.
the difficulty i think is when you fill it or empty the mikvah
when the waters are mixing or kissing. it they are side by side the waters may shift and wave and break away.
but if you have a bor al gabei bor the power of gravity and the power of absolute mixing comes always without fear and into play.
therefore bor al gabei bor can be a hiddur mitzvah then the regular style. its more of s safety hatch.
Mikdash Melech next door!! MMJ
Wowowo that big windows ground level in a mikvah!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is it appropriate to have a mikvah with ground level windows?? Isn’t there a concern over tzinius or is that no an issue in EY?
Bor al gabei bor has nothing to do with the Alter Rebbe.
What’s wrong with ground-level windows? You don’t have windows in your bathroom?! They’re probably opaque.
