Erlau Rebbe’s Grandson Improving


B’chasdei Hashem, the grandson of the Erlau Rebbe has opened his eyes. Rav Yaakov Sofer, the son of Rav Shimon Sofer, the director of Mosdos Erlau and son-in-law of Berel Daskal of Vishnitz collapsed earlier in the week.

On Monday, 24 Nissan, he collapsed suddenly in his home on Kehillos Yaakov Street in Bnei Brak and taken to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer in Tel Aviv. Doctors diagnosed he has a form of meningitis. Erlau Chassidim have been davening for Yaakov Gavriel ben Rochel. On Wednesday, doctors reported a significant improvement in his condition and he opened his eyes and sat up in bed.

Today, Thursday, 27 Nissan, he got out of bed and appears to returning to health.
