Baruch Hashem that rumors circulating in Yerushalayim are untrue, rumors that Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita has been hospitalized. The rumors over recent days traveled abroad as well and it appears members of the rav’s family received phone calls from concerned person inside and outside Eretz Yisrael to inquire into the gadol hador’s health.

Gabbaim told the media that baruch Hashem the rav is not hospitalized and his health has not taken a sharp decline. The rav remains in his Har Nof home/office and continues his rigid daily schedule.

Gabbaim nonetheless call on the tzibur to be mispallel for the gadol hador, Rav Ovadia ben Georgia — that he remains strong and healthy and permitted to continue with his vital work or guiding Am Yisrael and writing piskei halacha.
