VIDEO: Jews Not Permitted To Drink Water On Har Habayis

(VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

Despite numerous requests for water for a three-year-old child, the police officer would not comply as Jews are not permitted to drink from the faucets that used by Muslims on the holy site.

Gedolei Yisrael over the generations and the Chief Rabbinate of Israel prohibit visiting Har Habayis, which they explain carries the punishment of karess.

  1. Do not forget. We are still in GOLUS. Even if you live in Israel it is still golus. When Hashem sends Moshiach, trust me it won’t be difficult for Him to remove the filth from Har Habayis. I could be wrong, but I dont think that going up to Har Habayis in order to try to “secure” it really helps. From what it seems, Hashem doesn’t want us up there right now, especially if we aren’t really halachically allowed to enter.

  2. Am I seeing this correctly – the water is not from a fountain but from a faucet? But in any case, if it is forbidden to drink from the faucet is it forbidden to fill a cup?
