UPDATED: Rained Out! NYPD vs. Shomrim to be Rescheduled for Next Week!

Due to today’s torrential downpours, the third annual Greenfield Classic softball game, scheduled for tonight and featuring Boro Park Shomrim versus the NYPD’s 66^th Precinct, has been postponed until next week. The exact date of the next week’s event will be finalized tomorrow. In the meanwhile Councilman Greenfield said, “We were all looking forward to tonight’s game, however, the umpire determined that the amount of rain that fell today would make it dangerous for the ball players. As a result, we are postponing the game until next week. The last thing we would want is for a friendly community game to end in injury. We’re certain that next week’s game will be every bit as exciting.”
