The United Nations Human Rights Commission has sent warning letters to companies in Israel and around the world warning them they are listed in the blacklist database for doing business with companies in Yehuda and Shomron, referred to as in the “Occupied Palestinian territories” and thereby violating international law.

On Thursday, Yediot Achronot published the names of 25 of the Israeli companies appearing on the UN blacklist, companies situated in areas viewed as “occupied” by the international community.

Yediot adds that approximately 130 Israeli companies and an additional 60 international community are recipients of the letters from the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Jordan’s Prince Zeid bin Raed Zeid al-Hussein. The letter warns them they are on the black list for breaking international law. Companies include high-tech, food, investments and much more.

Arutz-7 quotes Efrat Mayor and YESHA Council foreign envoy Oded Ravivi saying that instead of blacklisting these companies, they should be in line for a Nobel Peace Prize for they are truly “promoting coexistence and providing jobs for both Arabs and Jews”.

“I suggest that the UN take the blacklist it has prepared, and instead of boycotting, grant them the Nobel Peace Prize. These companies are the ones employing thousands of Palestinian families. These factories are the ones bringing together Jews and Arabs who work together in the same buildings.”

“Those who seek to boycott these companies push coexistence, neighborliness, and economic growth farther away,” he emphasized.
