  1. How ironic! Come to think of it, one of the reasons we eat Matzoh and, is termed “Lechem Oni” is to commemorate our exodus of slavery and imprisonment (as Matzoh is food a prisoner and slave are fed in Egypt) …

And now as we enter the yom tov pesach we will once again become aniyim and slaves to outrageous food prices . $35-40 for 1 pound of matzoh.
Maybe rubashkin can somehow work out some miracles and bring yomtov and all year prices down.

  3. Most (though not all) Chassidim stop eating matzoh on Purim. So is Sholom Mordechai Rubbishcan hinting here that his chassideshe friends are fake?

  4. Lets see what Jonathan Pollard gave out for his Shlach monos 1 he was in longer than Rubashkin!!!! who cares anymore;is jonathan not a holy jew too?was he circumsized anymore than the other or is it the long beard and payois!!No big party was made for Rabbi wolmark and his sin was that he tried to do a dvar mitzva! why wasnt there a big showing when he was released??? everyone has their priorities wrong today ppl run for a cheaper shtreimel at Bingo instead of giving their money to pidyon shvuyim!!!

  5. DY,

The very fact that you are comparing Jonathan Pollard and others etc. indicates that you are not getting the connection of Rubashkin’s release with the simcha of all Klal Yisrael.
