Thousands of people took part in a hadlokas neiros Chanukah in Kever Yosef HaTzaddik in PA (Palestinian Authority)-occupied Shechem on the fifth night. The event was arranged by the Shomron Regional Council and the One Shechem organization, in coordination with the IDF.

Council head Gershon Mesika went outside of the tziyun to drink a l’chaim to mark his reelection to a second term in office. His reelection bid was unchallenged.
