Israel: Kozli Takes Reward Money Demands to Court

The Haifa District Court has ordered state officials to enter into negotiations with Ibrahim Kozli, a 26-year-old resident of Dalyat el-Carmel and his attorney Wajdi Ka’abiyeh regarding the reward money offered for finding the body of IDF soldier Majdy Halabi.

Ibrahim ultimately provided authorities with the information that led to the discovery of the soldier’s remains, and he wants the $10 million reward that was offered by the Born to be Free organization.

The court feels that Ibrahim is indeed entitled to the reward, attempting to have the side work things out, but it appears there will not be a meeting of the minds any time soon.
