Kalman Yeger Brings Free Legal Advice to His Boro Park Office This Monday

Councilman Kalman Yeger is bringing the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and their mobile van to his Boro Park office at 4424 16th Ave. on Monday, April 30th, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. NYLAG lawyers provide confidential legal advice at no cost on issues such as housing, identity theft, divorce, child custody, advance planning, and government programs such as Medicaid, Medicare, food stamps, and housing.

“I’m an attorney, and I know so well that legal counsel can be incredibly expensive,” Yeger said. “There is nothing more important than the law, and it can’t be only the rich who have access to it.”

Anyone interested in taking advantage of these legal services is encouraged to make an appointment here.

“You need to know your rights, and if you have any questions, come to my office and ask,” Yeger said.

Additionally, Yeger sponsors free immigration-related legal services in his district office every Wednesday in partnership with City University of New York Citizenship Now. Anyone interested in is encouraged to call the councilman’s district office at (718) 853-2704 to schedule an appointment.

  1. Consumer beware. You get what you paid for. These free legal consultations might be a nice thing to have, but complex matters should utilize services of experts who charge for their work. I have seen the work at NYLAG. It is not all incompetent, and I am being דן לכף זכות.
