Moshe Feiglin Leading a Biking for Pollard Effort

Feiglin MapLikud MK Moshe Feiglin, who heads the party’s Manhigut Yehudit (Jewish Leadership) faction will be biking for Jonathan Pollard just days ahead of the planned visit to Yerushalayim by US President Barak Obama.

Join Moshe Feiglin on Friday, 4 Nissan 5773 for a bike trek, 28km (17 miles) from Latrun to the US consulate in Jerusalem. In front of the consulate participants will call upon the US president to “free our brother Jonathan Pollard”. The twenty eight kilometers reflect the 28 years that Jonathan has been suffering in prison.

We will be leaving at 7:00am sharp from Eshtaol Junction, exit from route 38 to route 395. (See map above for exact route – click on image to enlarge) The route is on paved roads.

For those few people who cannot ride their bikes fast uphill for 28 kilometers in the heat, they may meet MK Feiglin and the other riders along the way, or at Mt. Herzl in Jerusalem at about 12:00 noon. (See map).

Organizers stress this is a tough trek and it’s supposed to be very hot on Friday, a sharav heat wave. Safety and hydration are the responsibility of the participants. Bring lots of water and high spirits.

  1. This will, at least be very beneficial for Mr Feiglin’s physical health, and will boost both his ego and his public image.

What it will do for Mr Pollard will be negligible at best, and probably nothng at all in reality.

But hey! If Mr Feiglin wants to ride his bicycle in public, surrounded (he hopes) by a swarm of papparazzi photographers, who are we to disagree? The vast majority of Jews will be preparing themselves for the arrival of Shabbat.
