Months after suffering a stroke, Rav Yisroel Meir Katz z�l, 66, was niftar on Shavuos. The niftar was among the first �??????? � and a son of former MK Rav Yaakov Katz z�l. The levaya takes place today, isru chag Shavuos 5773, beginning at the Seret Vishnitz Beis Medrash in Haifa at noon.
The family suffered a tragedy a number of years ago when a son fell during a hike and was killed. The niftar suffered a stroke about two months ago and was admitted into Bnei Tzion Hospital.
The rav was a Boyaner chossid who davened in the Seret Vishnitz Beis Medrash on a regular basis. He was credited with succeeding in bringing many lost neshomos back to a life of adherence to Torah and Mitzvos.
