Israel’s enemies did not rest on Yomtov, Shavuos 5773, firing rockets into the Golan Heights in the north and the Eshkol Regional Council area in the south.
On Shavuos morning, sirens sounded in the Eshkol Regional Council as a rocket fire from Gaza was detected. Baruch Hashem the rocket impacted in an open area. There were no reported injuries or damage to property.
An unknown terror organization calling itself “Halal Abd al-Qader al-Husseini” fired mortar shells at an IDF observation post on the Golan Heights during Yomtov. The organization stated the rocket fire coincided with observance of Nakba Day. While the terror organization released a statement the mortar fire was to “Avenge the blood” of their brothers, IDF officials attributed the mortar shells to stray rocket fire in the ongoing civil war between rebel and government forces in Syria. B’chasdei Hashem, there were no injuries or fatalities.
