Hundreds attended Levayas in Flatbush and in Eretz Yisroel for Rebbitzen Rochel Leah Brudny A”H, who was Niftar this past Monday at the age of 94.
Hespeidim were given in Flatbush by her sons, Hagaon HaRav Elya Brudny, Hagaon HaRav Abba Brudny, her brother Hagaon HaRav Yeruchim Leshinsky, a grandson Hagaon Harav Naftoli Baum, Rosh Kollel in Flatbush, and Hagaon HaRav Osher Kalmanowitz, Rosh Yeshiva in the Mir.
At the Levaya in Eretz Yisroel, Hagaon HaRav Don Segal began the Levaya by reciting Tehillim, followed by Hespeidim by Hagaon HaRav Elya Brudny, Hagaon HaRav Eliezer Piltz, the Rosh Yeshiva of Tifrach, and her son in law, Hagaon HaRav Menachem Ben-Menachem, the Rosh Yeshiva of Tifrach.
Kevura was on Har Hazeisim in the Chelkas Haniviyim, next to the Gedolim of Slabodka, and next to her husband, Hagaon HaRav Shmuel Brudny ZATZAL, the Rosh Yeshiva of the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn.
Rebbitzen Brudny was Zoche to live to see 5 generations of descendants, and leaves behind an incredible family of Marbitzei Torah and Talmidei Chachomim.
