Bnei Brak Mayor Rabbi Avraham Rubinstein will be HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky’s Shlita driver for a week. This is because of the petira of Rav Shmuel Epstein ZT”L, the father of the rav’s driver R’ Yeshayahu Epstein, who is sitting shiva.
Rav Yeshayahu is the rav’s aide and driver, taking care of many of his day-to-day scheduling functions. The mayor, Rav Rubinstein, is very close to the Gadol Hador.

This is a beautiful gesture on the part of the mayor, who himself is in an honorable position where he is given much honor. He is showing a true example how honor of Torah supersedes honor of this world.
