Three Arab males on Monday morning, 20 Elul 5773, pounced on an elderly Jewish woman who was walking in a park on Shivtei Yisrael Street in Yerushalayim, in the Musrarah neighborhood. They assaulted her, grabbed her jewelry and valuables and fled.
Border police began a search for the perpetrators, apprehending two Arab males, both in possession of some of the woman�s stolen items. When border police came to speak with the woman and return some of the stolen items they learned that she is an area resident as well as a grandmother of one of the officers who apprehended the attackers.
Baruch Hashem the report does not speak of the victim sustaining physical injuries.

There is a need for increased security patrol throughout the neighborhood. This might be a perfect venue for additional Charedi police guards.
