State Comptroller Justice Yosef Shapira has ordered a probe into the nationwide gas mask distribution program. Interestingly, it was not the lack of masks for bearded citizens that compelled the probe, or the fact that thousands and thousands of people wait for hours as distribution station are ill equipped to handle the crowd, or the fact that the Israel Postal Authority�s website crashed. The postal authority delivers masks to homes.

What compelled the probe are complaints to the State Comptroller�s Office by foreign workers who are not eligible to the masks to date.
