Young Israel Supports President Obama’s Decision To Strike Syria

obaThe National Council of Young Israel today praised President Obama for his decision to initiate military action against the Government of Syria after it became evident that Syria utilized chemical weapons against its own citizens.

The following is a statement from the National Council of Young Israel:

“The National Council of Young Israel commends President Obama for concluding that military force against Syria is necessary in light of the revelation that Syria committed the mass murder of innocent Syrian civilians by using chemical weapons. The Syrian government’s heinous and unthinkable act warrants intervention from the United States, and we strongly urge Congress to support the President’s request for its approval of military action. The United States cannot and should not stand idly by as chemical and other non-conventional weaponry is deployed against citizen non-combatants.

“Syria clearly crossed a red-line when it used chemical weapons and President Obama is correct to pursue a course of action intended to ensure that this type of monstrous act will never again be perpetrated by the Syrian government.

“The use of military force against Syria, a country that is sponsored by Iran and the terrorist group Hezbollah, will also send a message to other rogue governments, such as Iran, which is relentlessly pursuing nuclear weapons, that there is a price to be paid for their inexplicable and inexcusable actions.

“It is our sincere hope that Congress does the right thing in light of the circumstances and votes to support the President’s plan to address the atrocities that are taking place in Syria.”

  1. Israel will be blamed for any USA deaths or fallout during and after the strike. I beg to differ and suggest boycotts, while all grants and aid should be stopped to Syria immediately with strong reprimands etc.

Syria is a country of mad men and both sides (Assad & Rebels) are enemies. Stop supplying rebels with arms and cash, they are no better than Assad. Don’t do the same mistake as in Libya and Egypt, Mr. America!

  2. It would be better if they hadn’t spoken. What good would it do for the world if America gets sucked into another bloody was? Will it cause less people to die? And what’s the difference if they die with a Tomahawk of sarin gas? Dead is dead! All this war mongering! Enough!
