The dramatic case of an SUV driver attacked after he struck a motorcyclist during a rally has been built on amateur video footage.
But some bikers say what happened off-camera really touched off the incident.
A lawyer for a biker run over during the encounter on Manhattan’s West Side Highway on Sept. 29 says the SUV driver knocked into a biker.
Video from later in the encounter shows the driver surrounded by bikers on the road.
Then he plows over a rider and takes off, leading bikers on a chase through northern Manhattan.
They catch up with him and beat him. Seven people have been charged, including an off-duty undercover police detective.

yes. something was missing in the story since bikers don’t pick on a innocent driver for no reason.
I figured either he gave them the finger or weaved in front of them or something to set them off.
We only saw the part when they started with him, but not what he did to provoke them.

I disagree. A gang of bIkers is always a potential for violence. This particular gang had an undercover cop in its midst. Even if the driver hit a biker, it is no reason to surround him and put him in a situation where he feels that his life and the life of his family are in imminent danger.
The bikers are a gang of thugs who all should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, put into prison and the key thrown away.
Self defense tip: If i was chased by a bunch of biker thugs, i would let them get closer to my read bumper and slum by brakes as hard as i can.
The bikers have no ne’emanos. Even if asians aren’t the best drivers i’d doubt a guy with a wife and kid on board is gonna start up with a gang of motorcycle thugs.
Dr. Jew Yorker, how is the driver’s ethnicity relevant? That’s like saying Hasidim are not good drivers.

Not sure if that was meant as an attack on me but I agree with you about chassidish drivers.
Reb Yorker, a few triple parked cars and Astrovans speeding through residential neighborhoods does not justify stereotyping Oriental and Hasidic drivers.
Sorry reb pork but if you’re gonna act as chief of PC police you might wanna use the term “asian” instead of “oriental” which went out in 80’s and is used now only in the description of rugs.
