The President of Yeshivat Har HaMor, Rabbi Tzvi Tau Shlita, has released a statement to his talmidim that one should not vote for a mayoral candidate who is not shomer Shabbos.
“???? ??? ???? ???’ ??? ?????? ?????? ?????? ????? ??? ??????”, ???? ??? ???, “???? ?????? ?? ??????? ???? ??”? ????? ?? ????? ???? ??????? ????? ?? ?’ “?????? ?????? ??????? ???? ???? ??????” ??? ???? ?? ?????”
“?????? ?’ ????? ????? ?? ?????? ?????? ?????? ?????? ???? ???? ????? ?????? ??? ????? ?? ??? ??????? ???? ???? ??? ?????, ??? ???? ????? ????? ?? ?? ?’ ???? ???? ???? ??? ??? ?????? ???? ?? ?? ?????? ?’ ?? ???? ???? ?????? ?????? ???? ????? ????? ??? ????”.
In another letter, the rav objects to voting for a non-frum candidate in the Beit Shemesh race as well. While not supporting the other candidates by name, he is instructing voters not to cast their ballot for a non-frum candidate for mayor.

Exactly why Rav Shmuel Auerbach shlit”a put in his own candidate, Chaim Epstein.
Please give the Rav proper kavod. Whether one agrees with him or not, he is a gadol b’Torah and the Rosh HaYeshiva of Har HaMor, not simply a “President”.
#2- Actually, YWN got it right. Harav Tau is not and has never been the Rosh Yeshiva of Har HaMor. He is its president. The Roshei Yeshiva are and have always been rabbis Amiel Sternberg and Mordechai Sternberg.
