Prosecutor Hands Down Price Tag Indictments

ptaThe first ‘price tag’ indictments were handed down, on Wednesday, 5 Adar I 5774 in the Lod District Court. Yehuda Landsberg, Yehuda Savir, and Binyamin Richter, all in their 20s and residents of Gilad Farm in Shomron, have been charged with price tag crimes.

They stand accused of taking part in an incident that occurred three months ago in which they allegedly destroyed property belonging to Arab neighbors under the cover of darkness. They began in the PA (Palestinian Authority) village of Madama, then to Farta as they moved about with their faces covered with masks. They torched vehicles and sprayed graffiti including Magen Davids and then fled back to Gilad Farm.

Under the new government policy addressing price tag attacks as acts of terror, the prosecutor is expected to seek harsh convictions and prison terms.

  1. We can expect that this will turn into a circus of the absurd. The judge will be presented with reams of “secret evidence” that the defense will not be allowed to see on the grounds of national security. Most of it will involve the statements of Arabs. Many who do not even live in the area, exist at all or who could not possibly have witnessed the events. There will be no effort to independently confirm their stories nor will they be brought to court to testify. The rest will be Jewish informers telling incriminating stories about the defendants. Terrible thing like he once said that Government was wrong about something or other or that we deserve a better Prime Minister. Dangerous criminal activities like that. In fact the only national security issue will be that if the defense were able to rebut the lies of the Shabbak, they would be shown to the public as Jew haters and fools and that would make them feel insecure.
