Jerusalem Bus/Train Transfer Only with a Rav Kav Card

ravkavBeginning on Friday, 5 Adar II 5774, one will only be able to transfer between Jerusalem buses and the light rail without incurring additional charges with a valid Rav Kav smart card.

If one opts to still use the single use paper tickets purchased at a machine, one will not be entitled to transfer between buses and the light during the 90 minute period following the start of ones ride.

Unlike in the past when one was compelled to purchase a private card with ones ID number and photo, today one can purchase an anonymous rav kav for 5 NIS which also gives one a 5% discount and the ability to transfer between buses and the light rail.
