Monday News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


ywnisrael.israel· IDF soldiers taking part in counter-terrorism operations throughout Yehuda & Shomron during the night arrested eight suspects.

· 11:30: Sirens sounding in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council.

· 11:49: The siren heard earlier was a false alarm.

· Former Mossad Intelligence Agency Director Yitzchak Hofi was niftar at the age of 87.

· A Shomron memorial to terror victim Edan Zoldon, located between Karnei Shomron and Kedumim, was set ablaze during the night for a second time in two months. Police are investigating.

· Another stray rocket from Syria landed in the Golan Heights on Monday morning, near the border fence. There were no fatalities or injuries.

· Opposition leader Yitzchak Herzog warns that PM Netanyahu and FM Lapid are seated with folded hands while the budget will significantly harm the middle class.

· UN peacekeepers in Syria traveled across the border to Israel today. “Security” was given as the reason for their fleeing Syria.
