Chareidi School in Beit Shemesh Vandalized

bshTalmidim of Yeshiva Mishkenos Daas which is located in the non-religious Safot U’Tarbuot School in Beit Shemesh found their classrooms vandalized. The attack took place on Shabbos in the school’s main building located on Nachal Arugot Street. Security cameras were destroyed and it appears they tried to take documents form the school’s office, albeit without success.

The attack was discovered when students arrived on Shabbos afternoon for youth group activities. Kikar Shabbos News quotes a senior Beit Shemesh City Hall official anonymously stating he believes the attack is connected to the racial tensions in the school surrounding the allocation of a number of classrooms to chareidi students.

City Hall spokesman Moti Rosensweig stated “Mayor Moshe Abutbul has turned to the police commander in the city calling for an investigation towards bringing the responsible parties to justice. We are waiting for the results of the police investigation towards understanding exactly what took place”.
