Jerusalem Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Aryeh Stern Shlita visited the Belzer Rebbe Shlita in the rebbe’s home. The rebbe thanked Rabbi Stern on behalf of the chareidi tzibur for the Jerusalem Rabbinate continuing with ‘Yivul Nochi’ (imports from non-Jews abroad) during shmitah for those seeking mehadrin kashrus.

The rebbe spoke of his memories of Rabbi Stern’s grandfather, Rabbi Refael Stern ZT”L, who maintained a close relationship with the rebbe’s family. They spoke of the days in Tel Aviv, where the rebbe was born and raised as was Rabbi Stern, who was educated and raised in the city.

Present for the meeting was the rebbe’s gabbai Rabbi Shimon Wolf Klein, the Head of the Jerusalem Rabbinate’s Trumos and Maasros Unit Rabbi Pinchas Kalish, Rabbi Stern’s bureau chief, Avinoam Kutsher, and MK Rav Yisrael Eichler.
